Cappa Stone Wines
Cappa Stone Vermentino

2013 Vermentino

The History

The company is named after a mountain in a Calabrian mountain range in Southern Italy. In this mountain range their Italian grandparents fled for their lives in the war. It is a symbol of life, fulfilment and opportunity that they want to bring into this company and into the wines that are made for all to enjoy.

Winemaking/Viticulture

Vermentino grapes were harvested in the cool of the night from the Murray Darling region. Femented cool to retain the flavours found in this vineyard.

Four months on light lees, stirring occurred to give the wine a creamy middle palate and help balance the fresh and crisp acid.

Tasting Note

Our Vermentino has aroma’s and flavours of florals, lime, sage and nashi pear. It finishes with texture and finesse. The elegance of the natural acid from this cool year and the layering of flavours, make this wine an enjoyable and seductive drink.

Traditionally grown in the Isle of Sardinia in Italy.
